QuiMo 500
The machine for construction in existing buildings.
The fully electric, remote-controlled compact machine for construction and renovation in existing buildings. With a payload of 500 kg, a dead weight of around 600 kg and a width of just 800 mm, it is cordless and emission-free. Designed for spaces where conventional construction machinery simply cannot operate.

— The Concept
Smaller machine.
More freedom of movement.
Renovation and refurbishment are overtaking new construction. Work is increasingly moving into enclosed, occupied buildings — and that means a different set of requirements. Tight spaces, standard door widths and limited floor load capacities rule out conventional compact construction machinery. What remains is manual labour, even as skilled workers become increasingly difficult to find. At the same time, emission requirements and noise restrictions in occupied buildings call for fully electric equipment. There is a missing link between the wheelbarrow and the demolition robot. The QuiMo 500 brings the QuiMo platform into exactly this gap.
Balance
Balance instead of unnecessary weight.
One main drive axle, active self-balancing and an adjustable counterweight. Stability is achieved not by carrying permanent ballast, but by continuously adapting to the machine’s operating state and load. The result is the key ratio: a 500 kg payload at an operating weight of around 600 kg. It is precisely this ratio that determines whether a machine can be used on an existing floor slab.

Format
Built for spaces no machine could reach before.
At just 800 mm wide, the QuiMo 500 fits through standard doors and narrow corridors. In existing buildings, usability is determined not by payload alone, but by access width, manoeuvring space and floor load capacity. That is why the QuiMo 500 is not simply a scaled-down version of the QuiMo 1600, but a purpose-built machine designed around an entirely different set of constraints.

Why Existing-Building Projects Need a New Kind of Machine
Renovation and refurbishment are overtaking new construction. More and more work is shifting into enclosed, occupied buildings — environments with an entirely different set of constraints.
Tight spaces, narrow doorways and limited floor load capacities rule out conventional compact machinery. What remains is manual labour, even as skilled workers become increasingly difficult to find. At the same time, emission requirements and noise restrictions during ongoing building use call for fully electric machines.
Steigendes Bauvolumen trifft auf sinkende Ressourcen. Zwischen Schubkarre und Roboter fehlt das Bindeglied.
VERSATILE
One machine.
Countless possibilities.
With a range of attachments, the QuiMo 500 becomes a versatile platform for a wide variety of tasks.
— Applications
One machine.
The entire workflow.
The excavator-style boom reaches a lifting height of 2.8 m and works with interchangeable attachments. Lifting, positioning, holding, breaking and material handling can all be carried out with a single machine instead of three.
Mechanising heavy work
Strip-out and demolition
Breaking, debris removal, component dismantling and the entire material-handling process involved in strip-out work. Emission-free and cordless — even while the building remains in operation.
Precision instead of manual effort
Interior fit-out and installation
Positioning steel beams, lifting formwork, and precisely placing and holding heavy components. Support for installation processes without the need for additional lifting equipment.
Shorter distances. Less strain on personnel.
Material handling inside buildings
Material transport inside existing buildings, even when cranes are fully occupied or floor slabs are already in place. One machine for transport, installation and demolition.
—From concept to practice
More than just a vision.
A path to development.
The QuiMo 500 was not conceived at the drawing board, but developed through direct workshops with users working on real strip-out and major refurbishment projects. Its width, height, payload and attachment options are all based directly on the requirements identified in those discussions.
